The Seerah of the Final Messenger

A journey through the life of Prophet Muhammad, the most influential person in history. Created by Abdul Wahab.

What is the Seerah?

The Seerah is the traditional Islamic biography of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). It is more than just a historical account; it is a profound and detailed study of his life, character, actions, and sayings, serving as a comprehensive guide for Muslims in all aspects of life.

"There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent pattern..."

Qur'an 33:21

The Early Years in Mecca

Birth and Noble Lineage

Muhammad (ﷺ) was born in Mecca in the Year of the Elephant (around 570 CE) into the noble tribe of Quraysh. An orphan from a young age, he was known throughout his youth for his exceptional character, earning him the title "Al-Amin" (the Trustworthy).

Marriage to Khadijah

At the age of 25, he married Khadijah (RA), a respected and successful businesswoman. Their marriage was one of immense love, support, and partnership. She was his greatest source of comfort and the first person to believe in his message.

The Beginning of Prophethood

The First Revelation

At the age of 40, while meditating in the Cave of Hira, the Angel Jibril (Gabriel) came to him with the first revelation from Allah: "Read! In the name of your Lord who created..." (Qur'an 96:1). This marked the beginning of his 23-year mission as the final prophet.

Persecution and Patience

The early call to Islam was met with fierce opposition and brutal persecution from the Quraysh elite. The early Muslims were tortured, boycotted, and ridiculed. Throughout these years of hardship, the Prophet (ﷺ) and his followers demonstrated extraordinary patience (Sabr) and steadfastness.

The Migration & Medina

The Hijrah

After 13 years of persecution in Mecca, the Prophet (ﷺ) and his followers migrated to the city of Yathrib, which was then renamed Medina. This migration, or Hijrah, was a turning point, marking the establishment of the first Islamic state and the beginning of the Islamic calendar.

A Just Society

In Medina, the Prophet (ﷺ) established a just and compassionate society. He created a constitution, the Charter of Medina, which guaranteed the rights of all citizens, including non-Muslims. He united the warring tribes and established a community based on brotherhood, justice, and worship of the One God.

Final Years & Legacy

The Conquest of Mecca & Farewell Sermon

After years of struggle, the Muslims returned to conquer Mecca peacefully. The Prophet (ﷺ) forgave his former enemies in an ultimate act of mercy. In his Farewell Sermon, he delivered a timeless message of equality, justice, the rights of women, and adherence to the Quran and Sunnah.

"I have left among you two things which, if you hold fast to them, you will never go astray: the Book of Allah and my Sunnah."
